Before a gathering becomes a room full of movement, there is a quieter kind of preparation. Clothes are laid out. Family plans are agreed. In the kitchen, someone is thinking carefully about what the meal should be.

## A festival with many ways of taking part Navratri is associated with nine nights of devotion to the divine feminine. For many Gujarati families, garba brings people together through rhythmic, circular movement. Participation can also be quiet and personal: prayer, reflection or a change in everyday food habits. No single household’s practice represents everyone.

Food is part of that variety. Some people fast; others choose particular ingredients or prepare meals in a devotional tradition. Onion and garlic free cooking has an established place in our food heritage, but it is not automatically suitable for every Navratri fast. Grains, pulses and other ingredients may be avoided according to individual practice.

## Ask about the ingredients that matter to you Our planned Navratri offering is a sattvik, onion and garlic free buffet. Before choosing a dish, tell the team which ingredients you avoid. That conversation is more useful than assuming a festival label guarantees the meal meets your own observance.

There is something generous about a celebration that leaves room for different ways of belonging. Some guests arrive knowing every rhythm; others are discovering the tradition for the first time. Around the table, a small explanation can become the beginning of a much longer conversation.

We will share participating locations, service dates and buffet details with the celebration once confirmed. Until then, the invitation is to learn a little, ask freely and make room for one another.

We’ll have a table ready.
