At Namaste Village, we hold traditions close to our hearts. Sharing their meaning and joy with you, our extended family, is part of what makes our Village feel like home.
Nine nights celebrating the divine feminine
Navratri means “nine nights”: a festival honouring the divine feminine, the strength of women and the life they nurture. It is a time for devotion, gratitude and togetherness, and an invitation to pause and bring a little more intention to everyday life.
Garba: a circle of life and community
In Gujarat, Navratri is closely associated with Garba, a traditional folk dance. Women, men and children move together in a circle around a lamp, often placed inside a decorated earthen pot. Its light symbolises the divine feminine, while the circle speaks of life, continuity and community. Everyone has a place in that circle.
We have shared the joy of Garba at past Namaste celebrations. There will be no Garba or Bollywood dance event at Namaste Village this year. For Navratri 2026, our celebration brings that same warmth and togetherness to the dining table.
Sunday 11 October: an unlimited feast, cooked with care
On Sunday 11 October 2026, our Norwich, Cambridge and Twickenham restaurants will serve special onion and garlic free unlimited buffets for Navratri.
Expect the generosity of an Indian family table, with refills, comforting flavours and no compromise on taste. Thoughtfully balanced spices and vegetarian cooking bring richness and variety to a meal made for these special days.
For many families, choosing sattvik food during Navratri is a way to eat with greater awareness and make space for reflection. Our invitation is simple: slow down, gather with the people you love and enjoy a meal that honours the spirit of the festival.
Onion and garlic free dining at every Village
Our onion and garlic free menu is available as a standard offering at every Namaste Village and OmNom restaurant, beyond Navratri too. Whether you choose it for faith, personal preference or your own way of eating, you will find it served with care and love.
If you are observing a particular fast or have specific dietary requirements, please speak to our team before ordering so we can help you choose dishes suited to your needs.
Join us in Norwich, Cambridge or Twickenham on 11 October for our Navratri buffet. Bring your family, bring your friends and let us welcome you to the table.
We’ll have a table ready.
