Colour changes the familiar. A sleeve, a courtyard, the air between two people: for a moment, everything seems to belong to the same bright celebration.

## A season of renewal Holi is associated with spring, joy and renewal. Its observances differ across regions and communities. Holika Dahan, the bonfire observance, and the day of playing with colours are related parts of the festival, but they should not be treated as interchangeable dates.

For families celebrating in Britain, the gathering may take place on a convenient weekend. That makes it especially useful to distinguish a restaurant’s celebration date from the religious calendar. Our current plan is a Holi gathering on Sunday 21 March 2027; final event details will be confirmed separately.

## Joy with consideration The most welcoming celebration leaves people free to participate in their own way. Always ask before applying colour to someone, and respect guests who prefer to enjoy the food and company. Hospitality includes noticing when another person’s idea of a good day differs from your own.

Food brings another kind of colour to the table: bright chutneys, vegetables, sweets and the variety of a shared feast. We are planning a Holi Special Buffet, with participating locations, menu, service times and booking terms still to be finalised.

You do not need a childhood memory of Holi to enjoy discovering it. Come with curiosity and care for the people around you. There is plenty of room at a celebration that makes welcome part of its meaning.

We’ll have a table ready.
